The Hamilton 65800-01 basic controller unit is used to control the Microlab 300 Series diluters and dispensers (sold separately). The color touchscreen LCD provides access to menus and functionality, including valve and syringe position indication, parameter adjustment, and data entry. Dilutions, dispenses, titrations, and positioning are visually displayed in real time to ensure accurate runs. Operations can strung together to complete dispensing and mixing in one operation, eliminating the need for hardcopy procedures and reducing the risk of user errors. The controller can be wall-mounted or placed on a flat surface. The screen can be tilted to five different positions to ease viewing. The controller has an RJ-45 Ethernet port to communicate with the diluter or dispenser. The controller is powered using Power-Over-Ethernet (POE) and has a 25VDC power rating. Pipettes are laboratory tools for collecting, transporting, and dispensing a small amount of liquid. Sometimes called pipets, pipettors, or chemical droppers, a pipette is composed of a tube that collects the measured substance and a mechanism to aspirate and dispense the substance. Some pipettes can measure a fixed volume of liquid, others are graduated to show the volume, while others can be set to measure a volume within a range. Pipettes can aspirate and dispense liquid manually, electronically, or with a pipette filler that can be motorized. Pipettes are available in a variety of sizes and designs, offer ergonomic features for often-repeated functions, can be autoclavable for reuse, or disposable. The type of pipette used is determined by laboratory applications. Pipettes are typically used in medicine, biology, chemistry, and biotechnology for liquid handling, sampling, testing, and cell culture applications.Hamilton Company manufactures liquid handling, process analytics, robotics, and automated storage solutions products for the life science and biotechnology industries. The company, founded in 1953, is headquartered in Reno, NV.
